Technology:

Technology has become something quite important in my life. First of all, being far from home, and my family, technology helps me stay in touch with them at my convenience. Internet, cell phones are the best way of communicating. Secondly, it is a lot easier nowadays to predict the weather and traffic using the technology. Also, schools and hospitals are producing much more results using the technology. The internet is one of the most important technology in my life. I t would be hard living, studying without it. Plus, it's just fun!

Movies:

The Proposal is about a woman who is willing to do everithing in order to keep her job. Margaret (Sandra Bullock) forces her secretary to marry her, in exchange promises him a promotion. Feelings get involved when the couple spend a lovely weekend at grooms family in Alaska. Feeling the kindness and love of Andrew's (Ray Rendols), Margaret decides to admit her fault and step back. Even if it means to loose her job, Margaret realizes how selfish she was. Andrew on the other hand, loves her just the way she is. And determined to save their fake relationship, and turn it into something real.

The reason why people should go and see this movie is because it's one of the newest. The actors are ones of the best and did a wonderful job. Also, the sound and the animation are very well organized, which makes it pleased to watch. The movie's plot is overall about the future nature of life and some issues between people and other living beings. Definitely one of the best movies I have ever seen. Don't miss it!

My Movie

It is classic, but it is cool. It has a serious story line, but there are many hilarious situations. The Graduate, one of the best classic comedy movie I have ever seen. The movie is about the relationship of the recent college graduate Benjamin Braddock and his father’s partner’s wife, Mrs. Robinson. Then, the situation become more complicated when Benjamin finds himself falling in love with Mrs. Robinson’s daughter, Elaine. The movie is a product of several talent actors and actress, and a master class director, Mike Nichols. This movie should not only be seen by any comedy’s fan, but also by any director, writer, editor or actor who about to set foot in Hollywood.

Alice in Wonderland

Someone might think this movie is odd and lack of logic; yes, I agree with that, but some of the parts-story. However, if you like Disney movie, you will like this movie too. The charater's impressive costum, makeup, motion even voice were the things you will like. Moreover, the supporting charators- rabbits, mouse, fat boys, cat, etc.-are the cute and funny; their action would make you smile, I'm sure.

The Mist

Do you ever think about when you have critical time that about your life, what will you do? Only stay in a place that you think is safety or fight something threat to you? The Mist is a horror movie but the director Frank Darabont shot it could reflect people’s deeply reactions when they felt scared and something they cannot control. In a freak storm unleashes a species of blood thirsty creatures on a small town, David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and his son went to the supermarket and stayed there, but these monsters attacked them. Some people just stayed there and prayed for god. However, David Drayton and a few people decided to leave the supermarket. In this movie, you would have excited and other new thoughts.

"The Return of the King" from Jin

"The Lord of the Ring: The Return of the King" is a classical epic movie, it is the concluded film of "The Lord of the Ring" trilogy, the story is about how the peoples of middle earth fight with Sauron, who send the army of Orcs to invade Gandor. It's cinematography and animation made the fantastic scene, and the great original sound bring you into the middle of story. And more, the excellent performance of actors and actress, made this movie in perfect grade. I believe "The Return of the King" is the movie that you can't miss.

Millionaire" is the best movie i've ever seen. It tells a alive truth of a boy

who is living in slum of India. The romantic pictures, the exotic sounds and

sights of india makes this movie being special. The love of the boy and the

girl he loved is moving. I am sure you will like it.

A Christmas Carol

I bet everyone knows a story about Scrooge who is a stinky old man. This movie is very famous so many people have ever seen it at least once a time in their lives. I also saw this series a few times. Although I know about all story and how this movie end, I wanted to see this movie again. My favorite actor is in this movie and graphic skill looks great. After I saw this movie, I thought that I was looking forward to see this movie too much. This movie wasn’t special. There were a stale story and a boring development except 3D skill. This movie is awful. Nevertheless I give a one star because this movie has a great 3D skill.

Why people should go to see this movie???

Up in the Air, is an incredible and authentic movie about a man who is just concerned about his job. He doesn't care about people's feelings. He excludes himself even from his family members who do not even know if he still around or not.

Up in the Air reveals an ugly truth about love and relationships and what it's like to be alone without anyone around . The movie has nice scenery and casting ,like George Clooney and his co-star Vera Farmiga whose perfomances are beautifully executed.

Good movie stars with good actors and whit a good story that makes you feel the movie and Alice in Wonderland transporter you to the real live to a fantasy. I really recommended this movie. The movie has amazing Cinematography and sound. The best of the movie is the main character, that is Jonny Depp hi did amazing job he really make you feel his character. Also the Director and Disney did a good job doing special effects.

It has many stories and the director didn't gave enough time to each. you even forget about some story. He has tyred to connect story. It also has some brake up. (John Cusack) Jackson’s ex-wife (Thandie Newton) and his two children were braved when they met the disaster, they effort to escape every dangerous situation. The sounds is really realistic, when you put into watch this movie you will feel you as immersive. Mood will be followed by ups and downs, it make you feel nervous.

However, Ryan thinks that is needlessly, so he has a new job that he travels with Natalie, and the new challenge is coming with him.

this is a awesome. whether you have given up everything? coming to wathch this film and you will be able to revive and stand up. can you image the film was made for a litter money and acted by nonprofessional members of church? it's different from those which are famous movies in the world. another thing, when they made this film, they just want to encourage their members. after all, they did not put in a lot of money and they did not have professional actor. as a result, they did. this film was show in whole america movie theater. it 's amazing. also the movie sound is so wonderful, especially the plot was hang together and to bring up the focus. every ages have to watch to film, you would have fun and get depth meaning.

But don't forget to bring your family. This film has had beautiful pictures, good story, and some interesting characters. Russell, a innocent and lively Scouts' boy, for a badge and traveled with Carl by mistakenly. etc,. You and your family would have a lot of fun and deep impression from this animated film.

19 years old Alice returns to wonderland which she had went when she was a young child.
She met white rabbit,the cheshire cat,red queen and the mad hatter and had a fantastical journey to find her future.
It is 3-D movie and the media technology is really good. Also, Jonny depp is main actor of the movie. His acting was suprisingly great.

If you see the Alice in wonderland, you could retrieve your childish.

District 9, HyeJung's recommendation

This is an unlike alien movie because in the end, you may get confused who is uglier. The guy, Sharlto Copley, visited district 9 to evacuate Aliens to district 10. Two decades ago, Alien's ship disembarked on the Earth by accident. Since then, they have lived in district 9 but the area became slum area like trash can. One day, he was exposed by ridiculously sticky thing and then he was getting mutated to Alien. When he was chasing by humans some Alien helped him. As his body changed to Alien his mind also changed to understand the real situations.
I sincerely want you to see this movie to have a time for thinking about what the ugliness is.

For three years, I lived in a country that wasn't my own, I started to adapt to it, and I adjusted to it as my new culture. My breakfast now is Mac Donald, lunch is Subways, it is no longer the rice which is the main meal for Vietnamese people. Sometime, I thought that I lost my own culture. However, after learning the section about "Identity Culture", I realized that my own culture wasn’t melted. I just adapted to a new culture and learned a new way to lived. It reminded me that I am Vietnamese, and the Vietnamese culture would always be in my blood, whatever happens.

BRASIL,MY BRASIL

Those pictures that I selected for my poster is very simple and important to me . I choose some pictures just to show that BRASIL is not just carnaval,that we have another passions and celebrations very important to us. From this culture identity unit I learned the idea of melting pot and the salad bowl. Melting pot meant people try to mix in with each other and they all have same identity. It was used to be like that my years ago. But not any more people defend America as salad bowl. People want to keep their identity, like you can tell difference among people so easily. And I also learned that how people judge other people based on same race. After reading the story about “public enemy” I know how other people fell when they are judge as bad people when they are not.

Cultural Identity

What is the cultural identuty? In the United States has many culture. I had never though about the another culture before I came here. When I came here, I met many different culture. I believe I am lucky because i had a change to know others culture. Also Turkish people make festival every summer. We make our food, coffee and dance show to people. Many people come to see and taste tem. Also in popular culture class is going to help for getting deeply to understand other culture.

When I prepare my poster, i thought I should show some main point in Turkish poeple's life.I believe those are food, beverage, traditional events and mosque.

In this part, I put one of important mosque here. it is important because of its history. Also I put some famous food. Their name is Baklava and Kebap.

In those picture are about how English is important in my life and tea. Tea is my indispensable because tea is growing in my father's homewotn. in addition we are drinking tea alot of.

Also, I put one of important event picture from Turkey.This is important for Turkish girls. When Turkish girls are getting married before they make traditional event. We call Henna Night. We put henna bride's hand while we are singing special song.

And, we have speacial coffee.This is coming from Ottoman Empire. We drink usually after the dinner it.

The most important thing that I learned on this section,"Cultural Identity" is that every one has a different cultures, but not because of that someone is better than others. I leaned that when we come to this country, we maybe felt that we are not on home or we are felt that we are not on home or we are strange on many culture that why is the country of "Salad bowl". Also I love the idea of how other cultures people participated in others culture event and how we mix our culture with other culture. After read this section I felt more comfortable.
