Hi everybody, I am Lam and This is my poster. In this poster, you would know about my country and I would explain why I chose these pictures. In the top left, these has two pictures about novels of ZITA LAW who is a famous author form Hong Kong. Many Hong Kong people like reading so government hold book exhibition in every year and the price is very cheap. In the center of picture, the man wears mask because in 2003, Hong Kong had a trouble disease-"SARS ". In that year, everybody wear mask for wherever they went, such as school, work place, shopping mall. However, some people dead in that catastrophe. In addition, there has a picture about Chinese Zodiac Sign in bottom right. Chinese Zodiac Sign is like horoscope. It can predict about how lucky you are and what bad luck you will have. And upon this picture, it is Kelly Clarkson and S.H.E( who is a famous girl group in Taiwan). Many Hong Kong young people love listen music, Japanese, Korean, American and Chinese. For this poster, I want to explain about my country culture and lifestyle. I hope you would like it!

About Me!-Nie

HELLO! This is Xuezhi Nie. A 19 years old girl from China.

This is my poster. And this is my first Engilsh poster. It's all view of my poster that about my life in my country and here.

This 'CHINA' was I made of LEGO. That day when I saw lots of kids play it. I had an idea to make one. I know it is not good but that time I really miss my country.














Abercrombie&Fitch is my favourite clothing brand. . In my country dosen't have A&F store. When I went to New York in 2008 and found it. I was so excited. I like it!
Gossip Girl is my favourite American drama. It talks about the life in American high school and university.











Lie to me also is my Amrican drama I like. When somebody tell the lie the peoson can find the truth.
I live in Chinatown. Everyday I should take red line to somewhere I want.







Also I like David Beckham. Although he is not a American, He plays soccer in Los Angeles. Nowaday I like Chicago more than before. I have friends here, I know the transpotation here, I can communicate with others. I believe I will love it one day.

Hi, dear classmates. Today i would like talk about identity of Chinese culture. The picture which i made on the left is presenting only a part of chinese culture. One of them is a panda. In my mind, pandas are the most cutie animals in the world. It looks like a big black and white hairy cat which express honest and brave. Panda is national treature in China. The number of pandas are going down little by little.So it is significant to protect their nature living environment. From pictures, we can see some of them have existed thousands years, such as the great wall, the summer palace, tea, calligraphy,etc. All of them are crystals of Chinese people' labor and wisdom for thousands years.

Hi, everybody. My name is Ha Young Kim-you guys call me Emily- from Korea.

Here, I made this poster about Korean & American Culture.

I'd like to introduce some of them.

There is the myth that people have known that someone named Dangun and sun of heaven founded the first nation in Korea.

One of our famous food is Kimchi. This is very popular not only in Korea but some countries. We consider it as a pride.

We have an honorific in our language. We should respect the elders, so it's very important to use an honorific practically.

I love Mariah Carey and Johnny Depp really. Her ballad 'Hero' and 'Without You' are my favorite songs and I love his movies! Don't you think he is born to act!

The president Obama influenced both America and the other country. His talent, overcoming of race, age and ect. all bout him was an issue for a while. By being president in America , he gave a big dream,'yes, we can', not only black people but everyone.

I hope Obama and American people will solve the crazy health care system in America. It's absurd! How does America on earth have that unfair heath care making them crazy? It should be considered seriously!

Hey everyone, this is Salma :)
My poster is divided into two main parts. The first part is about my Mauritanian and Russian culture. While is the second part is about the U.S culture. To demonstrate my native culture, i included a couple of pictures of our traditional foods, our money and maps of our regions. Russian is known for their matryoshkas, they are hand made dolls that are placed one into the other. What i find very interesting about U.S culture is the Abrahan Lincoln, the 16th president of the U.S who ended the civil war. I totally enjoyed a few articles about his biography. When it comes to music, i am a big fan of Bob Marley, Marelyn Monroe and Ciara. Last but not least, I love the fact that American people celebrate holidays in a way that creates a very cheerful environment!!

This is a map of Hong Kong.

I live here since I was born, you can say I am completely made in Hong Kong.

Although Hong Kong is just a tiny place on this planet,
it contains all my memories and my sense of belongings.









I love Rock music; I believe that Rock sings people’s true soul.

Maybe because of the rhythm and style is fit with me, Japanese Rock is the major part in my iPod.

But certainly, I also listen to British and American Rock, where they are the birthplace and the cradle of Rock. Like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queens, Bon Jovi.

It’s true, music is borderless.






I always wear jeans and I love it, I just fall in love when I brought my first jeans.

No one will disagree that the Levi’s is one of greatest brand of American.
Well, it’s also the greatest invention of American, at least I think so.

In my opinion, jeans are not simple as it’s a kind of clothing only.
Casual, simple, durable, comfortable, good look… those characteristics of jeans can represent the style and cultural of American.





Also, I love reading comics (Japanese call “MANGA”).
I mostly read Japanese comics, also Chinese or Korean.
I used to read American comic, but later, my impression of American comics is only about Super Man­----full of heroic, and finally, my favorite American comics remains Garfield only.

I think comic (or animation) is a kind of cultural medium.
Each country has its own style of comic, which can truly represent and reflect the social custom, like American heroic comics, which can represent the idea of justice and freedom of American culture.

My culture

This first picture that I will like to explain you is the mariachi, because one thing that I love from my country is the music and the feeling that they make me feel when I hear them. Mariachis are musicians typical from Jalisco Mexico culture.

The second one is the food, like everyone loves their own native food, well me too!!LOL For me my native food remember me my family. The typical Mexican food is spicy I remember when my parents teach me how to control me when I eat spicy food now I can’t eat anything with hot salsa (hot peppers).

The Catholic Church is important place for my people and culture because; we group up believing on this religion, until you are not that spiritual person. Also the church is a cultural place.
